1. Iran is one of the oldest nations in the world, with a history dating back tens of thousands of years. The country’s first great city, Susa, was built on the central plateau around 3200 B.C.
Iran, April 11 2012 – Iranian university students could face a very different atmosphere when they return to their studies in September. Current proposals would segregate male and female students in universities throughout the country. This issue is proving divisive outside the classroom as well, as Dorsa Jabbari reports.
